The knitting circle is amazing. I went last night, and again this afternoon. The ladies there are just the sweetest -- one of them actually gave me some of her old scrap sock wool (I wish the photo showed just how beautiful the silver and gry and purple and blue really are!), and another helped me figure out the pattern for a sweater my great aunt was knitting! And one of the women told me about her gay daughter, which was awesome for me, because I've had this terrible prejudice in my head about being in the South and my ability to be open about who I am.
I am so thrilled to be part of this group! Next week I'll be doing lunch with these ladies, too. Huzzah, huzzah. A happy Thistle!
